Have fun creating sculptural, seamless 3-D felt. With wool
roving and a variety of embellishment fibers, felt one-of-a-kind
vessels to hold trinkets, chocolates, keys. or to simply
brighten up any shelf. Choose bright or natural colors and
"sculpt" your vessels into any shape from a bowl to a vase, from
organic to contemporary. You can even make your vessels
reversible. We'll be working with water, so dress for mess!

Festival Co-sponsored by the Optimist Club of
Brookings, the Children's Museum of South Dakota and the South
Dakota Art Museum. American Kitefliers Association member
Mike Gee will showcase his collection of massive specialty kites
at the event.
Families are encouraged to bring kites to fly as well as to
watch the HUGE specialty kites. Today, kite flying is
enjoyed worldwide as a popular and inexpensive hobby.
Brookings Soccer Association will have a concession stand
open for snacks and beverages at the event.
